What's new in Horse Show Assistant 4.2
MOS score results report;
A report with all riders, per class, showing the judges scores as you entered them.
An option to shade alternate rows on some of the reports.
Entering DQ (disqualified ) for a timed event will set points and payouts to zero for that class.
'DQ' will also appear next 'Amount' on the receipt for the disqualified class.
Due to changes made to the database tables, v4 and v4.2 show files are not interchangable.
If you want to intall and use 4.2, it's best to wait and start with a new show.
You need to un-install HSA4 first.

Number of classes was increased to 500
Must be viewed at 1024 x 768 or higher screen resolution

Added MOS (Majority Opinion System) scoring, up to 20 places.
Added option to backup and load Organization/Member data.
Added MRU (Most Recently Used) show file list under File on menu bar.
Added Timed classes.
Added option to sort exhibitor numbers numerically or alphabetically.
Added section for Grounds Fees, which include;
15 customizable fields for fees like stalls, feed, parking, vet, per-horse fee. etc.
These can be any text and any price.
Checkout screen to calculate final bill for any exhibitor.
Checkout receipt itemizing exhibitors charges and winnings.
Report for money due to grounds based on input from Grounds Fees screen.
Report is grouped by the customized fields.
Added import members from .cvs file, (csv files are native to Excel)
Added option to open payout and MOS log files from within HSA.
Added function to save points & payout Schemes.
You can create Scheme files which contain different points & payout setups. These can be saved and loaded for reuse in different shows.

* * IMPORTANT NOTES FOR UPGRADING TO NEW VERSION * *
IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER VERSION OF HSA AND ARE UPGRADING,
DO NOT UNINSTALL OLDER VERSION BEFORE EXPORTING THE DATA.
IF YOU HAVE HSA3 or HSA4 AND ARE UPGRADING
DO NOT UNINSTALL V.3-4 YET.
TO TRANSFER DATA FROM V.3-4;
1 Start HSA3 or HSA4.
2 Click on Organization > Backup data > Create Member Backup.
Save the file as "HSA org v3-4.hsab" in a folder where you can find it.
3 If you have v4, you can save the current points and payouts scheme.
Click on Organization > Configuration Schemes > Save Scheme.
Save the file as "Current scheme.hsas" in a folder where you can find it.
4 Close HSA3 or HSA4.
5 Uninstall the old version using the option found in Windows Control Panel.
6 Install the new version.
7 Start new version.
8 Click on Organization > Import Members > Previous Version
In the File Name box type in "*.*" without quotes and browse for the folder
mentioned above.
9 Select the file named "HSA org v3-4.hsab" and click Open.
The new version will attempt to import members.
Keep the file named "HSA org v3-4.hsab" for future use.
10 If you had v4, you can restore the current points and payouts scheme.
Click on Organization > Configuration Schemes > Load Scheme.
Browse for the folder mentioned above.
11 Select the file named "Current scheme.hsas" and click Open.
